The result is a breathtaking look at their impact on America as the greatest live band in the history of rock 'n' roll. 

This unrivalled collection of 350 photographs, many finely printed in colour, has been carefully selected from the author's personal New York City archive. Some of the images reproduced in this volume are favourites amongst followers of the band but most of them have never been seen before, including intimate shots of Keith and Ronnie with their families. In his own words Bob Gruen tells the stories behind the pictures, creating a truly unique and personalised photographic account of this period in Rolling Stones history.
